SABRE TOOTH II was part-built by
Universal Projects & completed by ourselves. She was first launched
in April of 2005, & has been in continuous service for angling charter
& light workboat duties ever since. The standard of fit out is very
high, as is the maintenance, which is carried out assiduously. The vessel is
in 'as new' condition & is offered for sale at a price of £85,000 + VAT.
There follows a detailed specification.
Unless otherwise indicated, any item mentioned forms part of the sale.
However, this is not an inventory; such will be made available to
potential purchasers closer to the date. SABRE TOOTH Charters reserves
the right to replace any specified component with an equivalent.

Deck Equipment
The deck is sealed, self-draining
& has 2 major freeing ports aft with 3 additional drains overboard
each side. It is finished with non-slip ProtectaKote paint. An aluminium
hatch aft provides access to the steering gear, rudder angle indicator,
exhaust silencer & trim tab motors. The stern features a transom
door, wide enough to accommodate a standard wheelchair. There is an
outlet for the electric deck wash pump on the port side, aft. An aluminium hatch forward of
the engine space opens into a storage locker & the generator fuel
tank. Locker/seats against the wheelhouse bulkhead contain anchor warp
& chain (port) & a 3Kw diesel generator (starboard). A
fluorescent deck light is mounted under the wheelhouse overhang. Anchor
retrieval is via an electric winch with deck-level on/off switch to
port, a self-launching stemhead roller, several side rollers & teak
channeling for the chain.. There are teak samson posts forward & aft
& a pair of custom-made handed fairleads on the foredeck. Sundry
equipment includes 2 x 15Kg Bruce anchors with 120' chain in 4 lengths,
around 1,000' anchor warp & various mooring warps & fenders.
Mechanical Equipment
Propulsion is through a
Caterpillar C9, 503hp, 6-cylinder turbocharged diesel, details above.
Drive is through a Twin Disc, downangle gearbox with 1.77:1 reduction
ratio to a 4-bladed propellor (25" x 27.5"). The shaft is
mounted using a PSS seal & cutlass bearing. A 'QuikCutter'
rope-cutter is fitted. The engine is serviced in accordance with
manufacturer's instructions. A full set of engine & gearbox manuals
will form part of the sale as will various spares including a propeller.
Bennett trim tabs are fitted. Fuel tanks (port & starboard) are
built in.
Electrical System
24V system with 2, independent,
switchable banks of batteries. Further set of batteries dedicated to
anchor winch. Split charging diode.
12V system with a single service battery runs VHFs & generator
starter.
240V system with switchable generator/shore power.

Licensing
SABRE TOOTH II is licensed to MCA category 2 (up to 60M from safe
haven) standard under the yellow code, for 12 passengers
& 2 crew or crew plus 1 tonne of deck cargo. Most recent survey was
in 2005.
Galley & Domestic
There is 1 berth in the wheelhouse & 2 in the
forecabin. A sea toilet is fitted in a separate compartment with entry
from the working deck. A 240v kettle & microwave with grill are positioned abaft the
helmsman's seat, with a sink & storage under. Numbers of storage lockers form part of the accommodation
space.
Miscellaneous
Antifouling is copper coat epoxy
with a minimum of 10 years life. SABRE TOOTH II is offered for sale
in 'ready to charter' condition &, with a few exceptions, is
equipped accordingly.
